Description
A friend gave me a photo of an arrangement of metal hardware items in the shape of a head. On it I mounted some metal washers, 3 coins, a plastic frog’s eyeball, a pair of paper lips and a pair of paper eyes. Then this head was attached onto an abstract watercolor that I had painted in 1967.

Whoa and wow! The modern Frankenstein*s Monster.....well, loveable monster. The image really grabs the attention and pulls one in. Another Douglas masterpiece!

That’s fantastic, Douglas! I don’t know how you did it, but for me, that face has a pleasant personality.
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thanks James !....I actually did think about whether this face should be a Happy one or a Horror one. After I decided on Happy, I searched through my inventory of face parts and settled on these cartoon eyes and these lips from an ad for dental hygiene . I am so glad that you enjoyed this exercise in Face Building !...
