Description
After I finished using a pad of 18x24 watercolor paper, I decided to use the cardboard back cover as a background for this project. I started by attaching a photocopy of a collage from the 1970’s called Honey ( Previous image ) to the cardboard. Then I added various mages and assorted scraps of paper at random just to see “ what might happen “
The answer was “not much”, so this experimental project ended up in a box under a bed for almost 2 decades. I rediscovered it while doing a New Years cleanup in 2001.
The only color is a red bullseye near the bottom center, hence the title. Perhaps I might eventually add a layer of color images someday, just to take the project to another level.

Whoa! You have been busy in the cool zone. Subliminally, I find I now want to go shopping at a certain store now though.

I like the repetition of images and the aged look of some of the papers. Looking forward to see if you reimagine parts of it!
Douglas Fromm replied:
I appreciate your compliments !...newsprint papers age slowly on their own anyway, but I discovered that they are aged quite nicely and much faster by leaving them outside in direct sunlight for a few days. ! I have been reworking this conglomeration of scraps for a week now and will soon upload the final version....after 2 decades !

Douglas Fromm replied:
Thanks Mike...this was primarily just an exercise in composition, I would not have imagined that any Peaceful Thoughts would be generated...glad that you received some !

Love this quirky and fun work. Beautiful!
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you !.... I am somewhat surprised that anyone would like this, since it was basically just an unfinished “sketch” for a possible future project. After 20 years perhaps the “future” is finally here, time to take it to another dimension....
