Description
This is a a closeup detail from my larger work entitled Alien Dog Pile , which was exhibited at the 2016 National Collage Show at Kent State University in Ohio. This work is a mixed-up mashup of assorted images and objects on an acrylic covered canvas. Components include paper images, styrofoam, dental floss, a wasp nest, and colored chewing gum.

Very interesting assembly of forms and colors. The detail is very different in feel the larger work. Very cool.

Quite an insightful compliment....I noticed that myself when I was just moving my camera screen over the original painting....the details seem like someone else created them. Perhaps I “couldn’t see the trees because of the forest” ?

Wonderful and gross at the same time! lol Another fantastic work Douglas! I love the title too! l/f
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you for an inspiring compliment !...the first title that I thought of was Eyeball Soup, but then I remembered this phrase that I heard from a so-called art critic years ago. It was not meant as a tribute, but I took it as one !

Douglas, excellent collection of colors and textures that seem to be alive and watching the viewer. Well done. Mike

I can’t stop staring at this! A very well constructed Discombobulated Conglomeration, Douglas. Cheers!
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you !.... since this is only a small section of a larger work, I didn’t realize how well the design would turn out. I could not have constructed a piece this size ....

Looks like I feel, sometimes! And it's fabulous, Douglas!, kudos,fav.......VIVA
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thanks , Viva.... discombobulation comes naturally to me....so I don’t consider it while creating, as I am more concerned about manipulating shapes and colors to create interesting textures !....
