RoadKill Cafe metal print by Douglas Fromm.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Love it, my kind of card!

Douglas Fromm replied:

👍 Thanks Douglas for the eating info ! - Just the other day I was thinking - what if some aliens regard us humans - as a plentiful source of food ? ? ? ( a sort of 'Soylent Green' scenario)

Douglas Fromm replied:

An intriguing comment, Hartmut.....this might explain why some people disappear without a trace !

🐸 - A most unusual piece of art Douglas ! - The French eat frogs, and who knows what else ! - Ha Ha Ha ! - 🐸 -

Douglas Fromm replied:

Thanks, Hartmut !.....and the French also eat snails, so did I when I lived there. Americans also eat snails and frogs, in fact that is where this idea came from. Many people that live in the southern U.S. capture and eat frog legs....

Thank you ... I was standing next to this piece at a gallery reception listening to comments from visitors, not mentioning that I created it. The comments were about equally divided between your opinion and the opposite extreme - horrible, ugly, “this is art?”, and my favorite - “ poor frog”

Um? Delightful? You have a great sense of humor Douglas!

Artist's Description

I created this piece to enter in the 2016 National Collage Postcard Show. All entries had to be 4x6 inches, the size of a standard postcard. The frog is one of the best found objects that I have ever found on the streets of America, an unfortunate creature that was not fast enough to escape Death by Vehicle. Since it was almost completely flat I was able to attach it to a thin sheet of wood with industrial glue. The game pieces were added as a parody about people that supposedly eat dead animals found on the side of a road. A judge awarded it with an honorable mention, and someone actually bought it!
