Description
This is a wooden drawer that I filled with letters of the English alphabet. I had collected many letters over the years and finally decided to assemble them in a somewhat orderly arrangement and glue them into this drawer from an unassembled dresser kit. The front of the drawer, without an attached handle, is at the bottom, so that the box can stand alone. There is also a hanging wire on the back for the option of hanging it on a wall, which came about when I entered it in an art gallery exhibition
The letters are plastic and wood, with the exception of a paper E near the center of the right half that designated the assembly number of the drawer bottom of the original kit. There is a complete alphabet of Scrabble letters across the top. Another alphabet fills the other 3 sides. It is comprised of letter tiles from word games, vintage building blocks, refrigerator magnets, and charm bracelet beads.

Brings me back to some wonderful memories of scrabble games with families, arranging the colored letters on the refrigerator as a child. Wonderful nostalgic creation, Douglas!
