Description
Recently I posted a photograph of this abalone shell that I found on the shore of the Pacific in Northern California. A visitor suggested an eyeball in the center, which sounded intriguing.
Here is the result , which might be a surrealistic sci-fi scenario of carnivorous abalones feeding on unfortunate scuba divers....

Fabulous, pity that poor diver. Back in the '50's it was common to use an eyewash cup if something got in a child's eye, I always imagined my eye would get sucked out :)

Excellent Douglas, you certainly have an eye for the visual arts with this eye popping piece. Mike

Awesome and disturbing Douglas! (I can’t imagine who would suggest you do that.) Cheers!
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thanks, James...Disturbing is indeed a splendid compliment in my genre, especially coming from such a connoisseur of Fine Eyes as yourself !....this was the second eye that I tried, the first was the same image as this but twice as big and obscured the beautiful patina of the shell. I have an inventory of hundreds of eyes and eyeballs, and could probably spend a month uploading variations .....this is “One and Done” for now....
