Kandinsky Table Top # 2 metal print by Douglas Fromm. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
Someone gave me a thick hardwood board that had been attached to an industrial workbench on a machine shop. The top was covered with formica, and holes had been drilled through it to attach various tools. I spent many hours sorting through my vast collection of metal “found objects”, arranging them on the board, and gluing them on with
industrial adhesive. The large gold circle in the upper left corner is a compact disc.
While arranging the layout I was inspired by some of the fantastic designs of Kandinsky. The #2 in the title not only refers to the mail box numeral; I had also covered a round table top in this style which has been sold.
After a long search I found an old end table at a second hand store that was the same size as this top and purchased it just to place the top on.
About Douglas Fromm
Douglas Fromm is a self taught artist who started his career designing concert posters and record album covers for San Francisco rock bands. He is a Signature Member of the National Collage Society (USA), and has had work selected by juries to be exhibited in 10 different National Collage Shows during the years from 2009 through 2023. .. One of his works ( shown on FAA as "An Artist Contemplates Good and Evil" ) is part of the National Collage Teaching Collection at Kent State University, Ohio.

Thank you !...I originally intended to cover the entire surface with metal objects, but while I was working on it I read an article about Kandinsky which inspired me to create some circular patterns and leave more open space.....
