After extensive research, I have gleaned this from the infinite number of web resources available to me: Both words end in "ids". We know they come to the same ending so it must be the difference between ""dru and "dro". According to some site found by duckduckgo.com, "dru" is the name for a wooded area inside a valley, so these folks may be Dendralites, or "bush worshipers". Another site from the same search engine informs that "dro" is a term used to describe the product of certain hi-"dro"-ponic weeds, made popular by another sect of Dendralites. Now I skirt a few logical roadblocks and there appears to be an Inner Sanctum and an Outer Sanctum in Dendralism. I think it might be characterized by the rhetorical classic "are you an innie or an outie?", as asked by Plato in his lost dialogue "Are You an Innie or an Outie?" The difference is between growing weeds indoors or growing weeds outdoors. So it appears that you are absolutely correct in your supposition that Droids are the modern Druids.

These are the droids we seek. l, f, WHAT?

Douglas Fromm replied:

WHAT is the difference between Droids and Druids....? just a vowel....or maybe/perhaps Droids are the new Druids?
