About Douglas Fromm
Douglas Fromm is a self taught artist who started his career designing concert posters and record album covers for San Francisco rock bands. He is a Signature Member of the National Collage Society (USA), and has had work selected by juries to be exhibited in 10 different National Collage Shows during the years from 2009 through 2023. .. One of his works ( shown on FAA as "An Artist Contemplates Good and Evil" ) is part of the National Collage Teaching Collection at Kent State University, Ohio.

Thank you for your fine comment. This is one of my least favorite pieces, as I could vever quite resolve all of the visual problems that kept arising as the work evolved. I was working in my "OJT on the job training" mode and changed directions too many times. I'm infamous among my artist friends for overworking things...this canvas has about 5 pounds of acrylic gel resin and clear gesso on it, some of the ridges are 1/4 of an inch high. Thanks for sharing your work, the series on ruins is fascinating, just like being there in person; and your compositons are at least the equal of any presented in National Geographic.
