Description
Zucchini Tromboncino is an heirloom variety common throughout Italy. My gardener partner and I grew these from seeds in a raised bed with a trellis in the middle. They start growing from blossoms several feet up, and as they grow longer and heavier the bottoms will rest on the ground. This one was picked today, and measured 32 inches from the top of the curve to the bottom. The tomato was included to show the size. It will be tonight’s dinner, as a zucchini tomato basil pie.

This is lovely. Very minimalist but impactful

Thank you…it took awhile to find this angle to best show the wonderful curve, but it was too minimal to suit me . After I added the tomato to show scale, I realized that it was more “ impactful “, to use your well chosen word …

I like the presentation here, Douglas, and also the contrast with the black background.
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thanks, Vic…I took 18 photos on a white background that were plagued by shadows. That problem was solved on the second shot using a black canvas.
