Description
A 20 inch round canvas that I started to completely cover with various circles and ovals. When I came to this point I liked the way it looked and decided to stop collaging.

I think you stopped at exactly the perfect place. Beautifully rendered.
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you Janyce !....a friend who was an award winning pastel artist once told me that “ What you leave out is just as important as what you put in “...as a suggestion about my habit of “overworking” pieces....

This is cool and beautiful. I know, I know, I do not often use that word to describe your engaging art....but I find this one pretty.
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you for a pretty cool compliment....the key word here is “Engaging “, which equals Success in my vocabulary !...Many years ago I intentionally quit trying to create “ beautiful “ works, as those efforts were usually sidetracked by my wandering mind, and ended up as dismal mutations. I discovered that a Stream of Consciousness approach was less frustrating and more Engaging. Occasionally the finished results turn out somewhat beautiful almost by accident, after all “ Beauty is the eye of the beholder “.... I am happy if any viewers are Engaged in any manner !

Wonderful!! Loving the shadow, the crescent full of round/endless , colourful dreams. that is it black! Kudos, Douglas.......fv.
Douglas Fromm replied:
I always appreciate your insightful comments, Viva !....you are the first to notice the shadow. I took this photo while it was hanging on a gallery wall and didn’t notice the shadow until later.....

LOVE! l/f
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you!.... Some deranged art lover loved it enough to steal it from a gallery, I guess that is a criminal compliment! So I created a sequel which is in my FAA gallery as Circular Convergence of Mutated Molecules. I gave it to the president of the National Colage Society so it is now hanging in their headquarters. It has been said that "EveryThing happens for a reason" guess that is why Crescent Moon found a new home, otherwise Circular would not have happened

Very stylish technique Douglas... Love the detail and color...
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thank you....I've been working on a sequel to this piece for months and hope to post it soon. By the way, you have an amazing assortment of images in your portfolio, with some clever titles and a fine sense of humor!
