Description
I bought a small oil painting of a clown at a second-hand store because it was mounted in an ornate hand carved frame that I wanted. I decided to leave the clown in the frame and embellish it with beads, buttons, dice, rhinestones, two plastic hands, and alphabet beads for the title. As a final Bizarro touch I included a very small photo of myself next to the hand in the bottom left corner.
To add to the bizarreness, I entered it in a mixed media exhibition and won a gaudy purple ribbon for first place, and sold it to a professional musician. This is a strange planet that we live on!
